Inhibitory neurotransmitter.
Glycine is a unique compact amino acid essential for the structure of numerous body proteins, especially collagen. It is needed for the structure and function of hemoglobin and myoglobin and is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain stem, spinal cord, and retina. It is also an obligate co-agonist for glutamate acting at the NMDA receptor. Glycine participates in processing motor and sensory information that permits movement, vision, and hearing.
Suggested Use: 1 to 2 capsules daily with food.
Montiff’s Glycine aids in supporting gluconeogenesis. Glucogenesis is necessary for maintaining the healthy glucose balance, collagen formation, and healthy central nervous system.*
